Imagine: Yoko Ono's Political Activism

Alexandra Munroe, Senior Curator, Asian Art at the Guggenheim Museum, New York worked with Yoko Ono throughout her curatorial career and organized the award-winning retrospective exhibition YES: Yoko Ono, which toured 13 cities worldwide in 2000-2003.
This conference will discuss political activism in the work of Yoko Ono, through her extensive career, in relation to the works present in the exhibition Yoko Ono: The garden of learning freedom presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Serralves until November 15, 2020.
